Prophecies or Nightfall?
I started playing GW with the Factions campain about 4 months ago, I have just finished the game and would like to buy a new campain, my dilema is such: I can only buy either Prophecies or Nightfall but not both (due to time constrainst I can't play both), could someone please tell me which one is best
Thanks in advance. |

Keep in mind that not that many people play Prophecies anymore and you will have difficulty completing some missions without heroes (from Nightfall). IMO go for Nightfall because:
- 2 new professions. - Gets updated more frequently - More players. - Better graphics - More challenging |

If you have time constraints, I recommend Nightfall. Prophecies requires a lot more time to go through, and if you're used to a Factions pace, Nightfall will be a lot more suitable to your play style.
As one who bought Factions first and Proph second, I found myself completely spoiled by the experience rewards in Factions and found Proph way too slow in leveling for me. That is just where I'm coming from, though. |

Nightfall is just more fun... Better story, better visuals, better gameplay options.

I'd say Prophecies coz that game will eventually not be able to be bought anymore...
As for people in Tyria, theres still a loooot more people in Tyria then there is in Cantha so a matter of having noone to play with is close to nihil. |

Nightfall is a better game - especially for someone whos played Factions
unless you enjoy spending most the game under level 20 ... |

Go for Nightfall, the heroes alone means its much more useful than anything tyria would give you.

PROPHECIES!
It has snow!! ^_^ so enough said. Though I just like the environment variety in prophecies alot better, as Elona's looks too similar all round. Overall I'd still vote prophecies, I enjoyed playing that the most out of all campaigns. |

Prophecies. Hands down. Great storyline. Well thought out quests and missions. Areas that have an impact (crossing the mountains was sweet!). And of course... Gwen.
Nightfall is very good thus far. I have no complaints about it, but I just prefer the skills as rewards system used in Proph. YMMV. |

I personaly like prophecies better, but demeros is right, not many people are online. But if you do decide on Prophecies, i have a few Characters that ill be taking through the campaign, so just look me up My character name is over <---- there. . .

NIGHTFALL!
I didn't enjoy Prophecies much after the noob section. Too much plodding around, too many pop-up devourers - just too boring. Rubbish rewards and no elite skills, for way too much of the game. It was Factions that really got me into GW and Nightfall has pulled me away from that. I keep trying Prophecies again, but always get bored/frustrated/angry in a very small space of time. |

Prophecies. It's the best starting point for the GW series. Thought I agree that if you're coming from Factions you are going to feel like it's very slow.
It has a better storyline, IMO. Something your character can really get involved in. More epic. Definitely when you are starting from scratch. Your character goes through a complete journey, a growth, questing and levelling, whereas in Factions they say we need you, quick, get level 20 so you can fight this stuff. I have been definitely impressed by Nightfall, but nothing really compares to Prophecies. Maybe you could get Proph now and wait until Nightfall is put on sale in store? Also it depends on what you want. If you intend on rushing your characters through and skipping missions and quests, don't bother with Proph. Get Nightfall instead cause the heroes are an awesome help. |

I think you've got several good arguments here.
Prophesis - Longer campaign, much more varied environements, character growth (i.e. slow accumlation of levels and skills), more intriguing story (in my opinion) Nightfall - Alot more players (eventhough most are soloing with heroes), quicker leap to level 20, more challenging (I'd say about the same difficulty as factions), heroes and two new proffesions, better cutscenes and a story that is more "alive" (although not as immersive as proph in my opnion) Personally Prophesis is my favourite, but I am biased since I grew up there |
